About the Home

Rosebery House provides residential care and accommodation for up to 14 elderly ladies and gentlemen (over the age of 65). The age range of those residing at Rosebery House is usually between 80 and 100. There are 14 single rooms which vary in size (measurements available on request). There is also a dining room, lounge and sun room overlooking the garden. The garden layout is designed for wheelchairs and walking with frames.

We provide full residential care which includes all meals, heating, laundry, personal hygiene and medication needs. We offer a wide and varied menu of home cooked food and cater for any special dietary needs.

We have regular visiting hairdressers, a chiropodist and physiotherapist to meet the needs of individual residents.

We liaise with dentists, G.P.’s and any hospital referrals in tandem with relatives, including transport and chaperoning by the proprietor should it be requested.

Residents can take advantage of visits from the mobile library and regularly take part in individual and group activities and celebrations as they wish.

We also welcome residents who require only short stay accommodation and those convalescing.

The range of needs that the home meets is from low to high dependency residential care. All aspects of personal care are provided on an individual basis. Some residents will need more help than others at varying times. As much independence as is possible is encouraged at all times, allowing ladies and gentlemen to reach their potential and live their lives to the full.

Nursing care is not provided by the Care Assistants. If nursing procedures are required by an individual, eg. a dressing or injection, the Home liaises with the District Nurses to provide this service. If any ladies or gentlemen become poorly they are cared for within the Home as far as is possible.

Rosebery House endeavours to be Home for Life for all residents.
